A good way to avoid the aches and pains of playing is to be in shape for playing. Get to the gym, work out a few times a week. If you can do this, you won't have to dread the morning after a long day of play!

Another thing that helps is if you take 5-10 minutes to stretch at the beginning of the day. You may get some wierd looks, or be called some odd names.. but you will be glad that you did the stretching. You will be more nimble when playing, and less likely to pull a muscle!

You don't even have to go to the gymn or buy any home equipment to be in shape to play. Go out and run for a mile two or three times a week. As it gets easier to run increase your distance.

You can also do push-ups, sit-ups, crunches, side straddle hops (jumping jacks done in a 4 count cadence), leg lungs, and a bunch of other excercises that do not require gymn equipment.

If you do not know what all you can do at home to get in shape you can always ask someone who does. Pretty much any veteran can tell you. Same with any phys ed. coach or any sports team coach.
